Chris Simpson
Head coach of Aesir MMA. An amateur MMA champion, and the guy holding pads for you on a Tuesday night.
The coach
Chris has been in martial arts since he was 3 years old and started training MMA at 10. More than two decades later, he's an amateur MMA champion and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt, and he leads Aesir as head coach.
His coaching style is direct and personal. He trains alongside his members, corners his fighters on fight night, and coaches every level, from first-timers and hobbyists to fighters chasing a belt of their own.

Where Aesir started
Aesir was founded in 2014 by David Simpson, Chris's older brother and a fighter in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). When David moved to Kansas, Chris took over the school.
The name, the standards and the family feel all came from those early days. Chris has carried them forward ever since.

Fight night
Chris trains and corners Aesir fighters from their first amateur bout on up.

“MMA has taught me discipline and pushed me to become the best version of myself. It takes hard work and dedication, but the rewards make it all worth it.”
